Nokia 9 PureView gets certified in China ahead of MWC launch
No further information was revealed by the 3C Certification, though the Nokia 9 PureView is expected to feature a premium glass design with a penta lens setup on the rear, distinguishing it from its competitors.
In terms of other specifications, the Nokia 9 PureView is said to be coming with a 5.99-inch, 2880 x 1440 resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio display, which means no notch at the top. It’s also expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor, and rumours have suggested there will be a variant that includes the X50 5G modem at some point but it won’t be the initial device.
The Nokia 9 PureView will launch on Android One, after the company committed to the software at MWC 2018. This means it will offer a pure Android experience with the exception of the camera app that will need to be altered for those five rear lenses.
HMD Global is holding a press conference on 24 February, the day before MWC 2019 kicks off, where the Nokia 9 PureView is expected to be revealed in full. For more of what to expect for the Nokia 9 PureView, you can read our rumour round up feature.
